| Approval of last meeting's minutes & any matter arising from these (& not otherwise on the agenda)
The minutes were approved. Matters arising were:
- It was agreed that a FNAC token should be sent to the Auditor to thank him for his work.
- The possibility of ensuring that a search of the web using the word "église" rather that "church" should lead to our Church appearing as a result was raised.
- When the Treasurer is back from Cyprus it was hoped that a financial update could be presented to the congregation before the holidays. (He had sent a message to say our finances are currently OK.)
- The Chaplain is still pursuing the request for a SIRET number for our Church.
- The St Marc's Comité d'Animation has proposed naming rooms at the centre after renowned Christians of different Church denominations (who were alive in the 20th century).

| Sunday School
David explained the outcome of the recent Sunday School teachers' meeting. We plan to offer 2 classes for under 11s and 1 for over 11s, whenever numbers permit. We need particularly to pray for the right person to work with the over 11s after the summer.

| Any other matters
- The proposed preaching programme for the coming months was shared.
- The chaplain reported the fire at the apartment, caused probably by an electric kettle. The insurance companies are co-operating towards the renovation.
- Mark & Carine Lewis are visiting St Michael's Church, Paris and the International Church of Grenoble to present their project. We need to pray for the remaining 20% of financial support to be forthcoming, and for the setting up of their prayer support.

| Vision for our Church
A wide ranging discussion of matters relating to our vision for the Church took place. Including:
- The need to encourage people to examine their lives and keep moving onwards
- The need to get more people involved in bible study & prayer, especially in home groups
- The need to build on our perceived strengths of diversity & friendliness
- The possibility of incorporating spiritual matters into social events (e.g. discovering people's gifts)
- How can we get more people to contribute their gifts to Church life? Should we have a committee to consider this?
- The importance of the task of welcoming people on Sundays & following this up. Jason shared three key questions to ask, from a course his previous Church used, What's your name? How long have you been coming here? Is there anything about which I can pray for you?
- We should not be afraid of accusations of "checking up on people" - it's part of caring for one another that we ask what's happening when people are absent.
- The image of the cross as a picture of reaching towards God, and out to one another and to others, recently used in sermons, and developed from Neil's thinking, was welcomed.
- We must keep the issue of our vision under review at Council meetings.
