    • 6 young people to Taizé. Very good reports of a great experience.
    • This coming saturday, young people's BBQ organised by Ledent family.
    • Pierre's presentation: 12th june at 20H. Lilia is thinking of doing a translation to english.
    • 3rd July (ie SATURDAY) BBQ chez Stinton. No church lunch on 4th, but picnic.

  • 22. "Sous le figuier" has been invited by Stephen to speak briefly on 13th June about its work with asylum seekers & how it's helping Daut & Xhevaire.
    • Stephen gave a short report on this : D & X couldnt face moving to the housing proposed to them (in Pont de Chéruy) so they took up an offer from Nick of the loan of a temporarily vacant appartment. Nick, who came to give us a talk about islam once, now works under the auspices of Iteams for a (french) association « sous le figuier » which aims to help asylum seekers. It aims to be a sort of evangelical « secours catholique ». Sous le figuier needs prayer for their action, and help in cooperating with the official asylum seekers organisations (CADA). Nick should come and give a short talk about this mission in church on June 13th .
    • Alison voiced her concern that D & X, in getting out of the official asylum seekers program, will have forgone the help they were getting so far: money, psychological help and so on. How will they manage when the appartment needs to be vacated ? However D is now allowed to seek employment, so that is a good thing ! We should continue to support them as best we may, both practically and spiritually.

  • 23. Fanny's summer plans
    • Fanny has passed her licence ok ! Praise God ! Now she is looking for a subject for her masters. She will do the masters by correspondence, as she did the licence. She has a lot on her plate at the moment : 2 sermons, trip to Nîmes with Stephen, find a retreat, find other parishes. It is likely she will work in Paris, as they have a ministry in french, then perhaps Lyon. She needs to know more about the anglican church, and proposes to run a group where she could present what she has learned.

  • 24. Possible French language service – update
    • We would launch this in September. Fanny has made a questionnaire for the french members of the church. Not that we would prevent them coming to the english service, but to get their opinion.

  • 25. We are asked to approve some changes to the constitution of the Commission Interconfessionnelle de Grenoble. A text with explanations will be sent to you on Monday.
    • The Commission Interconfessionnelle de Grenoble needs to redo its official documents as things have moved on. The address needs changing, and there is no provision for how new (ie evangelical) churches can join. The bureau should be chosen by the titular members (not amongst them). A change to the règelement intérieur is proposed, that each church be preseident for 1 year (renewable 3 times). If some strange church wants to join, it will be looked into first. The churches need to be clearly trintitarian. It would be good to get the Pastorale Evangélique into the commission as a full member and not just an observer.

  • 26. Any other matters.
    • Student ministry : The tuesday meetings go well. Sometimes for schedule problems they dont happen. It is probably a good idea to start thinking about a new venue. This will depend on who is there next year, but quite a few of the « old » team will still be here.
    • Youth activities : Lila was concerned we sent our youth to the ICG (for awana and the next group up) . Why not do something ourselves ? Can we actually manage to do this ? Maybe see at the rentrée if the Brownriggs leave, and/or more families come in.
    • Next meeting : 7th July
