We offer different styles of worship services, which we hope enable us to enter into the riches of the different outlooks & backgrounds of our members.
All our services end with informal refreshments and Family Worship is followed by a shared lunch.
| Family Worship | on the 1st Sunday of each month at 10.45am. This informal service, using mostly modern songs, aims to offer something to people of all ages, including children, who stay in for the whole service, so that families can enjoy sharing in worship together. The talk is illustrated and we draw on the talents of lots of members to lead different parts of the service. |
| Holy Communion | on the 2nd, 4th & 5th Sundays of each month at 10.45am. We use the Church of England's modern language Common Worship service as our framework. Modern songs led by a group start the service before the children go to their own activities, with a mix of traditional & modern hymns during the rest of the service. The sermon is usually an exposition of a bible passage. Prayers are led by members. The children return for the Communion itself, during which a group usually sings. | Morning Worship | on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 10.45am. This service has recently changed in format to a more informal style. The children leave for their activities after the opening couple of modern songs. We then continue with about 30 minutes of worship using modern songs..This is followed by penitence, bible readings, a talk based on them with application to daily life. We then respond with a creed, songs or a hymn and prayer, ending with a hymn. For more on this service click here. |
| Student Meals | In the past these have been offered on Sundays after morning worship, at 13h00. A short time of singing modern songs was often included in these meetings, which featured discussion of topics chosen by those who attend. Currently these have been suspended due to lack of demand, but we're ready to restart them if they would be appreciated.... |
We warmly welcome people of all Church backgrounds (and none) to our services, and hope you will find elements in our worship which will cater to your needs and help you draw nearer to God.
