You make references to bible content that readers can access on-line. To this you use what is call an "inter-wiki" link. This is just a shorthand for referencing the bible site:
Mark-upSingle Verse ReferencesThe simplest format is for a single verse: Bible:<book>+<chapter number>:<verse number> An example of this would be Bible:John+3:16 which results in Bible:John+3:16. Multi-verse PassagesWithin a ChapterYou can also reference ranges of verses as well. To do this you use the dash "-" character between the verses that start and end the passage.Bible:<book>+<chapter number>:<starting verse number>-<ending verse number> For instance, to reference John chapter 3 verses 16 through 21, you can write: Bible:John+3:16-21 which results in Bible:John+3:16-21. Across ChaptersYou can span chapter as well in the following format:Bible:<book>+<starting chapter number>:<starting verse number>-<ending chapter number>:<ending verse number> Bible Verse LablesThe inter-wiki format for the Bible references is not particularly clear for most readers, so it is useful to provide a more human readable label to the link. To do this use the Bible Book AbbreviationsThe <book> is usually abbreviated from the full title. The following table lists the abbreviations that should be used for each book:
