Welcome to the Grenoble Church Meta Home Page

What is this? It's where we talk about the site itself and plan and organize the content.

The Site To Do is where we list stuff we want to get done for the web site (and stuff we've already gotten done happy smiley.

The Domain To Do is for keeping track of broader issues related to the grenoblechurch.org domain. In particular maintaining the domain (registrar and sub-domains) as well as the email addresses attached to the domain.

Please check out the Site Organization page for how the site is (proposed) to be organized. Your comments are welcome and encouraged.

Useful Site Pages

FTP Access

ftp://ftp.grenoblechurch.org/

During the 2004/08/22 meeting we decide that we would have 2 FTP accounts for the church:

  • Admin - this would allow access to the top of the directory tree and therefor would allow manipulation of the HTTP and wiki configuration
  • Church Membership -- this account would be restricted to a sub directory and therefor should have limited potential negative affect on the web site.

  • admin account -- user ID = "admin@grenoblechurch.org"
  • church member account -- user ID = "member@grenoblechurch.org"

The user IDs may be a bit confusing. You have to include the " @grenoblechurch.org" part in order to log in. If you are using a windowed application (i.e. with a GUI) this will be pretty strait forward if a bit long to type.

If you are using a command line client you may need to escape the "@" character using "%40" instead. The following are the URLs for the two accounts including the user IDs:

Archive Pages

The following pages have not been deleted but are "orphins" (i.e. they aren't linked to any other page but this one). The content is being saved in cause we want to use it later for something:

Layout

There's a Site Layout page to describe the layout and discuss new layout.

Larry Baltz: you can check out some page hear options.

Meetings
